Following the successful courses offered in conjunction with CALU over the past five years, by Conwy Beekeepers’ Association, the National Beekeeping Centre for Wales has teamed up with Conwy BKA to offer an ‘Introductory Beekeeping Course for Beginners’ starting in September 2011. This will be hosted by the Centre for Alternative Land Use (CALU), at the Henfaes Research Centre at Abergwyngregyn, just off the A55 between Llanfairfechan and Bangor – Junction 13 on the A55 and also at the Conwy BKA apiary for practical sessions at Tal y Cafn in the Conwy Valley.
The course will extend over ten sessions. Lectures will start with an introduction at Henfaes on Tuesday 6th September 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. and the first apiary session will be held later that week on Saturday 10th September 2011. The course will be delivered by Geoff Critchley, Master Beekeeper.
