Beekeeping Taster Days

Beekeeping taster day

Taster days are aimed at anyone interested in starting beekeeping, but unsure if they want to commit to a full course. We welcome local residents and visitors to North Wales. We can provide information on places to stay. Taster days make a very popular present.
Note: Taster Days are now run by National Beekeeping Centre Wales at Henfaes LL33 0LB. Please see www.beeswales.co.uk for details of Taster Days in 2017.  Dates for 2017… Sat 13th May and Sat 24th June.

Feedback from our Taster Days

Hello,
Thoroughly enjoyed the Taster day and am fired up ready to receive my swarm from John!

Could you let me know the title/author of that very readable book you had on display, please? I can’t find where I wrote down the details and would like to get a copy asap.

Many thanks.
Sandy

Peter

Thanks for a really great day; both my wife and myself had a very enjoyable and instructive time.

We are both keen to follow it up further, we would like to attend the meeting on the 2nd of July and from there discuss signing up for the winter course.

You may remember that Jackie and I attended your Taster Day on the 18th. – we both enjoyed the day – thank you very much.

We have decided that we would like to join Conwy Beekeepers and as soon as I have finished this e-mail I will access your website for your application form and winter course booking form (I hope there are still places available).

Jackie is well into your recommended book – Keeping Bees. I will be starting it soon.

We look forward to meeting you again and the other members.

Regards,

John

Hello,

I trust you are well.

May I start by thanking you for organising the “Taster” day yesterday.
For years I have been eyeing beekeeping from a distance and wondered if it was for me.
Yesterday confirmed that it is something I want to pursue further.
I simply loved the day, a statement in itself which articulates a level of enthusiasm which is rare for me.

Arising from that could you send me details of the course you mentioned please and pencil my name in until you receive my cheque.

Within that cheque may I also send my membership payment if you will allow me to join the Association.

When we spoke at lunchtime you mentioned the site manager and the possibility of me talking to him with a view to accompanying him to the site
when he goes in order to develop greater understanding and help out if / as necessary.
If it’s Ok with him, and only then, a contact email / telephone number would be welcome please.

Two final things if I may.
Some further information about the Apiary meeting 02 July and could I get a copy [email is fine] of the picture you took of the group please.
I keep a picture diary.

I very much look forward to becoming further involved.

Best regards and many thanks again.

Good afternoon Peter,
I thoroughly enjoyed the taster day; my mind was made up before attending the course that I wanted to become a beekeeper. The smell of the hives took me back to my childhood when I used to help my grandfather with his bees.
Yes the next step is for me to Join the Conwy Beekeepers; and are there spaces available on the September course?
Could you please e-mail the relevant application forms?
Again, may I thank you personally and pass on my thanks to the other instructors on the taster day.
Kind Regards,
John
