We welcome newcomers, maybe just thinking about becoming beekeepers, as well as new beekeepers, improvers and lifelong bee people.
-
Friends and family are welcome, age 10 years and upwards.
-
The bees are inspected annually by the National Bee Unit Seasonal Bee Inspector.
- We emphasize the importance of personal safety when working with bees. Everybody present should wear a clean bee suit, gloves and wellies.
- We prefer you to bring your own bee suit.
-
We can provide good quality bee suits and gloves for newcomers and visitors: children’s sizes and adults up to XL. Just bring wellies.
-
Would you like to join our pool of instuctors?
-
The training sessions are informal, and we encourage trainees to handle combs of bees under supervision.
-
Would you like to help with strimming and general gardening work at the apiary?
