Dandelions in the Pyrenees
Hallo beekeepers,

This picture was taken this week by ex member Ian Shaw, now living in the French Pyrenees. Wouldn’t you like some hives there?

Taster Day – Full up

Wednesday 13th
Farmers’ Market on Conwy Quay, 9am to 2pm.

Saturday 16th
Apiary Meeting and spring inspection at Conwy BKA apiary, Tal y Cafn at 2.30pm.

All are welcome. Bee suits and gloves available to borrow.  Click here for directions.
Dress code: Clean bee suit, gloves and wellies.
We have replaced all the hives at Tal y Cafn with new cedar hives from Yorkshire Beehives.
The old hives will be renovated and offered for sale to members.
Frames and foundation available. Contact Chris Clarke on 01745 832812, at least four days before the meeting please.

Sunday 17th
Conwy Valley Gardeners’ Market at Conwy RSPB Reserve LL31 9XZ, A55 J18. 10am to 4pm.

Wide variety of plants for sale from about 20 nurseries.

Same day, why not also visit…
Spring Fair at Moelyci Community Farm near Tregarth, 11am to 4pm.

Craig y Don Community Centre.

A talk by Prof. Pete Barrar on the new National Beekeeping Centre for Wales, and how you can be part of it.

Plus…Bring and Buy sale of used beekeeping equipment in the car park.

Sale starts at 7pm, tea and coffee from 7.20pm, meeting starts at 7.40pm.

Sad news
We regret to report the death of Ron Brown OBE from Torquay, who visited us several times when we met at Penrhos College.  Always a great speaker.
